(Cor Noir/Winter Morning) 2004 gray Holsteiner filly | ||||

| This long legged filly is a “Diva” in every sense of the word. She is fancy, athletic, and she knows it. As a weanling at Dressage at Devon she received the score of 80% from Dr Ludwig Christmann for a third place in the very competitive open fillies class. As a yearling she again received a score of 80% at the Fairhill DSHB show. She was also shown in the Hunter breeding division by her amateur owner. She had a lot of success, including winning the $1000. prize for the Pennsylvania Yearling Futurity filly class. The highlight, however, was our second place in the yearling filly non TB class at the Devon horse show. We were the only amateur to place amongst the top professionals in that class. She finished the year Champion of Zone 2 and placing fifth nationally amongst all yearlings shown in the Hunter Breeding division. She attended the Winley Farm (NY) Holsteiner inspection in the fall of 2005. During a year of controversy over low scoring German judges, Uma scored a 9 on type and an 8 on movement. Huge thanks goes to her handler Lisa Basellini. In 2006 she won two of her DSHB classes as a two year old (Fairhill and Stone Tavern). We are looking forward to getting her started under saddle. She will be bred to “Quite Easy” in the spring of 2007. |
